NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR 

SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS 

Prairie Seeds Academy’s Board election committee hereby announce that the Election of new Board of Directors for the June 2025 - June 2028 term will be open both in person for voting on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 8:00am - 11:45am. Paper ballots will be available on-site at an election station monitored by Board Election Committee members. This will be held on a school day at Prairie Seeds Academy where the school will be running on an adjusted school-day schedule.  

The results of the election will be announced at the school’s Annual Board Meeting which shall be held May 15th, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. This public meeting detail will also be posted on the school website.

Board Bylaw for voting: Article III, section.5d states that “Each Eligible Voter shall have the power to exercise one (1) vote for a nominee for each available person on the Board of Directors. This vote must be received by the Board Chair or Chair of the Nominating Committee before or at the Annual Meeting.” 

Minn.Stat. 124E.07 Subd.5 identifies Eligible Voters as: “Staff members employed at the school including teachers providing instruction under a contract with a cooperative, members of the board of directors, and all parents of legal guardians of children enrolled in the school are the voters eligible to elect the members of the school’s board of directors.”
